I live in a magical world where my forest is surrounded by skyscrapers, hot dog venders and the unfortunate zombie-like creatures called tourists. Where I reside bullets are confused with fireworks and at night what comes out aren’t vampires but hookers. I’m a redheaded Puerto Rican with an overactive imagination.

I have a cupcake named muffin. A purple rocketship for my stars, a ginger eating an octopus and two bipolar clouds that scowl as much as my skull and crossbones. I ♥ vampires, werewolves, zombies, dinosaurs, the fae, robots, social networks, museums, photographs, music, hello kitty, my iPhone 4S named Bones, and my Nook Color named Zsadist.
2012 Reading Challenge
Radiant as the Sun
I spent a few months over at tumblr. *points below* I have quite a few tumblr-only posts that I’ll eventually move over here… I’ve missed the feeling of a real blog. Don’t get me wrong, I love tumblr for what it is. And I figured I could reach a bigger audience (and I sort of did). But not the audience I really wanted. Getting “likes” or reblogs is great but I like comments. Ok, no. I love comments. I like feeling a connection with my readers and being able to respond back either here or on twitter. But a real connection. So after contemplating for a while and talking to my friend Eve (ok, so she’s more like my platonic soul mate) when she came back to blogger… I came back :)
- Toshiya has been recovering from a really nasty infection. He’s still not his normal self and he’s become very dependent on me. I’m not sure if he actually enjoys it… though he loves coming up onto the sofa and curling up next to me or half on top of me. I still have to either hand feed him or direct him to eat. His leg isn’t very strong so he falls a lot. It’s pretty much breaking my heart. But I’m being a good cat mommy and being there for him. You can read more about the medical emergency here and the beginning of his recovery here.
- I’m officially unemployed. My back is still recovering and my former manager pulled pretty nasty tricks out on me that I won’t get into detail here because I, unlike other people, don’t trash talk others. I’m pretty disappointed in how things ended with my last job but with the way my back has been healing, it’s better this way.
- Completed my 2011 Reading Challenge! I really didn’t think I was going to be able to because with the meds I’ve been on I really haven’t been able to concentrate on anything besides tweets and tv shows, lol. But I pushed myself on the last week of the year and got to 50. Now, starting on my 2012 reading challenge has been awesome. 4 books in the first week? Hell yeah! :D

You read 50 books in a year. Hmm… I’d like to take that challenge this year. Do you mind if I follow suit?
